**Job Description**
The restaurant server works under the direction of the Food & Beverage Director. His or her primary responsibilities include selling and serving food and drinks in a professional manner and providing exceptional service to guests.

**Position Summary**
The restaurant server works under the direction of the Food & Beverage Director. His or her primary responsibilities include selling and serving food and drinks in a professional manner and providing exceptional service to guests.

**Primary Responsibilities**

• Serve 3 – 4 tables, as determined by management.
• Complete knowledge of hotel’s food and beverage preparation.
• Able to use a computer to ring orders on a check.
• Able to interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Able to accept different types of payment and make change.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure smooth operation of the restaurant, including side-work.
• Clear and reset tables.
• Check guest IDs to ensure legal age for alcohol consumption; politely refuse service to underage guests.
• Monitor guests' alcohol consumption and behavior when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Treat all guests to ensure their complete satisfaction and strive to exceed expectations.
• Report to work in a neat, clean uniform with well-groomed appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

**Education/Experience**

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months server experience preferred.
• Experience in hospitality preferred.
• Basic math skills and cash handling experience.
• Applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card or ability to obtain it.

**Physical Requirements**

• Walking and standing throughout shift.
• Frequent walking with some standing.
• Lift/carry up to 25 lbs as needed.
• Reach, kneel, and stoop repeatedly.
