Job Description

The restaurant server works under the direction of the Food & Beverage Director, primarily responsible for selling and serving food and drinks professionally while providing exceptional guest service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve 3 – 4 tables, as determined by management.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the hotel's food and beverage offerings.
• Use a computer to ring up orders.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Accept various payment methods and make change accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Clear and reset tables promptly.
• Verify guest identification for alcohol service and refuse service politely if underage.
• Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption when applicable.
• Treat all guests with respect and strive to exceed their expectations.
• Report to work in a neat uniform with good personal hygiene.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months server experience preferred.
• Experience in hospitality is a plus.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Applicable health and/or alcohol compliance certification or ability to obtain it.

Physical Requirements

• Walking and standing throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to reach, kneel, and stoop repeatedly.
