Job description

The Server is responsible for taking customer's food and drink orders, serving food and beverages, preparing itemized checks, and sometimes accepting payments. They may also perform additional duties such as escorting guests to tables, serving customers seated at counters, setting up and clearing tables, or operating a cash register. Additionally, they check the identification of patrons to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for alcohol purchase. The server is responsible for providing the highest quality of service in an efficient and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations).
• Food Handlers certification (must comply with State regulations).
• Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work well under stress in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Meet certification requirements relevant to the position, including Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers certifications.
• Familiarize with the organization of the restaurant and lounge, understanding each job position's function.
• Have thorough knowledge of the menu and specials.
• Serve guests food and beverages in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed.
• Operate the P.O.S. system proficiently.
• Handle cashiering duties, including closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and side work as per station rotation.
• Keep tables and side stands stocked, tidy, and clean.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
