Overview

The Restaurant Server will take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. He/she will collect payments and assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.

Part Time

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Check with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
• Collect payments from customers.
• Write or enter food and beverage orders into the system.
• Prepare checks and process transactions.
• Serve food and beverages to patrons.
• Verify patrons' age for alcohol service.
• Present menus, answer questions, and recommend items.
• Clean tables and dining areas.
• Prepare and serve drinks, including specialty and wine.
• Set up tables and dining areas.
• Inform customers of specials and menu details.
• Stock supplies and maintain cleanliness.
• Explain menu items and ingredients.
• Assist with food prep and garnishing.
• Greet and seat guests, and handle reservations and to-go orders.
• Perform cleaning duties in the restaurant area.
• Describe and recommend wines.
• Provide local area information to guests.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Good English language skills and guest relations experience.
• Certification in liquor, wine, and food service preferred.
• Must be TIPS, CARE (or equivalent) certified by first day.
• Ability to use property management and POS systems.
