Job summary

Crying Tiger, part of Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, is hiring a Restaurant Operations Manager for Chicago’s River North location. You will lead opening shifts, manage BOH systems and inventory, and drive guest satisfaction with strong service standards.

We seek 5+ years in restaurant management and 2+ years in back-of-house systems/food costing, plus a track record of developing teams and controlling costs. Expect a dynamic, multi-site environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant operations manager experience.
• 5+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume environment.
• 2+ years of back of house systems and food costing experience.
• Strong understanding of service excellence and guest experience.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Proven ability to manage inventory and BOH systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the opening shift process and perform food ordering, inventory, price updates and recipe build maintenance.
• Oversee back of house systems, receiving and storage including sidework and organization.
• Organize and supervise daily opening and closing shifts for guest and employee experience.
• Provide guidance to hourly and management teams and foster a culture of caring.
• Assist GM in managing costs, driving sales and achieving financial goals.
• Interview, hire, onboard, train, and develop BOH employees with the management team.
• Perform inventories and place orders; inspect deliveries and manage supplies.
• Model teamwork and handle challenges with tact and courtesy.
• Work varied shifts across sites, including mornings, nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
