Job summary

Jamaica Bay Inn, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to join the team and support the F&B Management Team. The role ensures all food and beverage areas are professionally managed, with a focus on customer care, quality, cost control, and revenue maximization.

Essential duties include training hourly staff, coordinating with other departments, and enforcing Food Safety and OSHA standards, while continuously seeking improvements in GSS and AOS scores.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old to handle alcoholic beverages.
• Must have a valid alcohol awareness certification or be able to obtain one.
• Must have a valid Certified Food Handlers Card or be able to obtain one.
• Prior experience as a food server and bartender in a restaurant is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist the F&B Management Team.
• Ensure all food and beverage areas are professionally managed and organized.
• Communicate department goals to hourly team members and ensure they are met.
• Coordinate tasks with other departments for efficient operation.
• Train newly hired hourly team members and provide orientation.
• Address guest concerns and requests professionally and escalate as needed.
• Bridge communication between management and hourly staff to facilitate operations.
• Drive improvements in department performance to improve guest satisfaction scores (GSS) and AOS scores.
• Enforce compliance with Food Safety and OSHA standards.
• Acknowledge and celebrate hourly staff contributions.
