Job summary

Players Sports Bar and Grill in Kansas seeks a seasoned salaried manager to oversee every aspect of restaurant operations, from guest service and staff coordination to compliance with company policies and alcohol service standards.

You will hire, train, and develop the team; plan schedules; monitor food quality, cleanliness, and safety; manage cash controls and financial reporting; and contribute to annual budgeting with area supervision while driving sales through effective upselling.

Qualifications

• Experience as salaried manager in full-service casual dining.
• Experience with full-service alcohol serving facility desirable
• Record of maintaining high standards in restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, directing, and motivating a team
• Some exposure to P&L and sales building highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Oversee every aspect of restaurant operations.
• Ensure excellent guest service that meets or exceeds expectations.
• Manage staffing to meet guest needs.
• Control day-to-day operations - cash handling, security procedures, and financial reporting.
• Work with area supervisor to develop the restaurant's operating budget and control all P&L centers.
• Operate the business in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Lead interviewing, hiring, and training; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance.
• Manage shifts, including scheduling and planning while upholding standards and cleanliness.
• Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour.
• Enforce safe work behaviors and maintain a safe environment for guests and crew.
• Monitor daily activities to ensure quality food and cleanliness standards.
• Meet the restaurant's P&L and expense goals.
• Promote suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintain professional yet hospitable atmosphere.
• Prepare quarterly sales projections for area supervisor approval.
