Job summary

Black Bear Diner in Twin Falls, Idaho is seeking an Assistant Manager to be the right hand of the General Manager, overseeing planning, organizing, training and leadership to drive sales, costs and profitability.

You will hire and train Team Members, ensure fast and friendly guest service, food quality, and consistent operation. When needed you may lead a shift solo, monitor labor and inventory, and coach staff to meet standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School or GED; some college preferred; Previous restaurant experience desirable.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities; ability to coach and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift when GM is unavailable; ensure guest service aligns with standards.
• Oversee food prep, safety, quality, and presentation according to company standards.
• Manage staffing levels, hire/training, and labor scheduling.
• Monitor inventory and costs; control utilities and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory guidelines.
