Job summary

Bagatelle in New York seeks an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager in overseeing all restaurant operations. You will coach a high-performing team, drive financial results, and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

The AGM leads by example, maintains a culture of accountability, and steps in for operational leadership across departments when the GM is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive hospitality management experience.
• Proven success leading large hospitality teams with coaching and development.
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials including budgeting and cost control.
• Working knowledge of NY wage and hour laws and tip regulations.
• NYC DOHMH Food Protection and ATAP certifications or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant operations in the General Manager's absence and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Coach and develop managers and hourly team members; conduct regular performance reviews.
• Oversee labor, cost of sales, and budgeting to maximize profitability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local regulations; manage training.
• Collaborate with Marketing and leadership on brand initiatives and guest engagement.
• Manage schedules, payroll processes, and timekeeping in accordance with policy.
