Job summary

The Village Dallas is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations. You will lead shifts, train staff, hire team members, and manage guest experiences while upholding Sandy Pickle standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling, supervising, coaching, and ensuring food quality, safety, and a clean, professional dining room. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or related required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years experience as a Restaurant Manager in a full-service dining environment.
• Minimum 5+ years hospitality experience.
• Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure quality standards.
• Strong communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training orientation to explain the Sandy Pickle Philosophy and oversee the training of new employees.
• Assist in developing employees by providing ongoing feedback and establishing performance expectations.
• Ensure proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets.
• Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
• Interview hourly employees, support hiring, supervision, development and assist in the termination process if applicable.
• Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce injury and accidents; complete accident reports promptly.
• Supports and assists General Manager in running shifts including scheduling and planning.
• Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
• Prepare schedules and ensure restaurant is staffed for all shifts.
• Drive positive guest service; respond to complaints and recover dissatisfied guests.
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling and maintain standards.
• Responsible for consistently high quality food preparation and service.
• Maintain professional restaurant image, uniforms, and appearance standards.
• Supervise portion control and quantities to minimize waste.
• Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule deliveries.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leader.
