Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Columbus, GA to bring our mission and values to life in our restaurant. You will partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to develop action plans, review financial metrics, and develop Team Members.

You will learn and master competency-based leadership and operational skills while supporting schedules, forecasting, labor management, and inventory. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in a supervisory/management role in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage financials including budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
• Generous and friendly demeanor with guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Support scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding service standards and addressing concerns.
• Lead by example in customer service and encourage the team to follow suit.
• Support financial tracking, cash handling, and budgeting.
• Prepare financial reports and analyze performance metrics.
