Job summary

Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurants in Surprise, AZ seeks a Restaurant Manager to lead a high-volume, scratch-kitchen operation with a retail market, tasting room, and Wine Club program. You’ll grow and inspire a team, deliver hospitality excellence, and help expand the Wine Club community.

You will hire, train, and schedule hourly staff while maintaining policies, inventory, and department financials. Collaboration with kitchen and FOH, plus weekend/holiday flexibility, are required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant. Scratch kitchen experience preferred.
• Minimum age of 21 years
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Results-driven with ability to coach team to hit targets (Wine Club growth)
• Ability to read, understand and communicate in English
• Demonstrates financial acumen
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Preferred ServSafe and state/local licensing requirements
• Must lift up to 40 lbs and stand up to 10 hours
• Ability to work 50-60 hours per week; flexible shifts including weekends/holidays

Responsibilities

• Lead 1-2 department areas with confidence
• Foster professional image and uphold Cooper's Hawk standards
• Use POS, scheduling, inventory, and office tools to stay organized
• Conduct weekly inventory and manage department-level financial performance
• Hire, train, and schedule hourly team members
• Ensure policies and operating systems are followed
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment
• Partner with General Manager to achieve restaurant goals
• Coach and develop team for smooth shift execution
• Foster collaboration between kitchen and front-of-house
• Lead department and community meetings
