Job summary

Emmy Squared Pizza in Washington DC seeks an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our Shaw location. You’ll support the GM, serve as Manager on Duty, and oversee front and back of house with a kitchen focus on quality and consistency.

Responsibilities include coaching FOH/BOH teams, hiring and onboarding, ensuring food safety, managing labor, and maintaining clear communication during peak hours. Competitive bonuses and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Ability to lead a restaurant team and oversee kitchen operations.
• Strong communication, organization, and prioritization during busy periods.
• Proficiency with POS and scheduling systems; Toast experience is a plus.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet physical requirements (lift up to 40 lbs, stand/walk for long periods).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations as Manager on Duty.
• Coach and develop FOH/BOH staff, including hiring and onboarding.
• Ensure kitchen quality, timing, and presentation meet standards.
• Foster strong communication between dining room and kitchen.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant dining environment.
• Help manage labor and scheduling based on business needs.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and ensure team alignment.
