Job summary

Emmy Squared Pizza in Washington DC seeks an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our Shaw location. You’ll support the GM, serve as Manager on Duty, and oversee front and back of house with a kitchen focus on quality and consistency.

Responsibilities include coaching FOH/BOH teams, hiring and onboarding, ensuring food safety, managing labor, and maintaining clear communication during peak hours. Competitive bonuses and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Ability to lead a restaurant team and oversee kitchen operations.
• Strong communication, organization, and prioritization during busy periods.
• Proficiency with POS and scheduling systems; Toast experience is a plus.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet physical requirements (lift up to 40 lbs, stand/walk for long periods).

Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $68,000.00 Annually

Do you love a well-run restaurant, a strong team, and the feeling of sending out great food while guests are having a great time? Emmy Squared Pizza is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to help lead our team at our Shaw location in Washington DC!

You’ll support the General Manager and help oversee the whole restaurant, serving as Manager on Duty and keeping both the front and back of house running smoothly. This role has a special focus on the kitchen: supporting the BOH team, keeping food quality and consistency on track, and helping create a strong connection between the kitchen and dining room.

We’re known for Detroit-style pizza, award-winning burgers, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere. We’re looking for a hands‑on leader who cares about great food, genuine hospitality, and helping the whole team succeed.

What you’ll do:

• Help lead daily operations across the entire restaurant and serve as Manager on Duty.
• Support, coach, and develop both FOH and BOH team members, including helping with hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Keep kitchen operations organized and food quality, consistency, timing, and presentation on track.
• Make sure the dining room and kitchen communicate well and work together, especially during busy shifts.
• Stay present with the team and guests, and help resolve concerns with care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant, following food safety and health department standards.
• Help manage labor and schedules based on the needs of the business.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and keep communication clear across the team.
