Job summary

Portillo's is seeking a Restaurant Manager in a fast-paced, high-volume setting to lead and coach a team while delivering exceptional guest experiences. You’ll drive hospitality, operations, and safety standards with a focus on coaching, scheduling, and budget planning.

The role requires strong English communications, a high school diploma, and flexibility for 50+ hour weeks, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of Restaurant Management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
• Aptitude for leading, coaching, and driving excellence at every level.
• Understanding of P&L and restaurant operations.
• Must pass sanitation and responsible alcohol courses.

Responsibilities

• Model operational standards and execute critical behaviors to run great shifts.
• Motivate and manage team members to provide highest level of hospitality.
• Demonstrate leadership with coaching and aiming for excellence.
• Foster engagement through recognition and communication.
• Ensure sanitation, food, and restaurant safety compliance.
• Train team members on restaurant operations.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and connections.
• Handle shift planning, scheduling, training, opening/closing, and cash handling.
• Plan inventory, budget, and labor decisions around operations.
