Job Description

Reports To: Food & Beverage Director

Supervises: 20 to 40 Front of House Teammates

General Purpose: The Restaurant Manager manages the restaurant's daily operations, including the selection, development, and performance management of FOH teammates. They oversee inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimize profits, and ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
2. Staff the restaurant adequately for each meal period.
3. Maintain high staff morale.
4. Lead by example, including hands-on involvement when necessary.
5. Train and develop staff regularly.
6. Ensure all staff follow service standards.
7. Identify operational efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
8. Maintain cleanliness and proper uniforms.
9. Manage VIP guest relations.
10. Seek continuous improvement.
11. Build a loyal customer base.
12. Punctually report to work and maintain a positive attitude.
13. Assist with all tasks assigned by the General Manager.
14. Participate in hiring and training of new staff.
15. Implement employee reward programs.
16. Ensure compliance with service protocols and HR procedures.
17. Attend meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office; familiar with industry software.
• Enthusiastic about 21c Museum Hotels and its values.
• Must pass a background check.

Education & Experience

• Some college education.
• 2-4 years in high-volume, high-quality restaurant operations.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Experience in restaurant line positions.
• Strong F&B knowledge through education and work experience.
