Now Hiring: Front of House Manager – Prospectors Historic Pizzeria & Alehouse, Denali National Park

Ready to work where the mountains are your neighbors and adventure is always on the menu?

Prospectors Historic Pizzeria & Alehouse is not just a restaurant — it’s a Denali legend. Located in the heart of Denali National Park’s bustling seasonal hub, we serve handcrafted pizzas, cold craft beers, and unforgettable memories to adventurers from all over the world. If you’re ready to lead a team at one of the most iconic restaurants in Alaska, this is your moment.

About Us
At Prospectors, we believe in living legendary moments every single day — from epic mountain views to the perfect pizza pull. We’re part of Northern Hospitality Group, a locally-owned company with a mission to share Alaska with the world through incredible food, craft beverages, and legendary hospitality.

Our Vision: Share Alaska with the World
Our Mission: Transform our community with innovation and creativity through the best locally crafted goods and legendary hospitality in Alaska!
Our Core Values: Be Legendary, Be Honorable, Be One Team

We’re more than a restaurant — we’re part of the seasonal magic that makes Denali a global destination. From locals and seasonal workers to tourists just off the train, we serve them all — with incredible food, warm hospitality, and a little Alaskan flair.

Who We’re Looking For: FOH Manager with an Adventurous Spirit
We’re looking for a Front of House Manager who’s ready to lead in one of the most exciting, fast-paced seasonal restaurants in the world. Whether you’re keeping the dining room running smoothly, training your seasonal crew, or jumping in to save a guest’s night, you’ll be at the center of the action.

This is not your typical FOH Manager job — this is Denali. Expect high volume, fast shifts, and unforgettable guest interactions with people from every corner of the globe. If you thrive under pressure, love building teams, and enjoy working somewhere where every day feels like an adventure, this is your place.

What You’ll Be Doing

Running the Show

  • Own your shifts — opening, mid, or closing — you keep it all flowing.
  • Lead a seasonal team from opening day to the final farewell, ensuring guests get top-notch service every single time.
  • Coach, motivate, and support your team in real time — you’re their guide and mentor through the wild ride of a Denali season.
  • Ensure the dining room, patio, and bar are spotless, stocked, and ready for action.

Creating Legendary Guest Experiences

  • Solve problems on the fly and turn tricky situations into awesome moments.
  • Set the tone — your energy and attitude shape the guest experience.
  • Hold your team accountable for legendary hospitality — every guest, every shift.

Training & Developing Your Team

  • Help hire, train, and coach a seasonal team of hospitality rock stars.
  • Keep the team engaged and focused on both fun and performance.
  • Foster a culture of respect, learning, and teamwork — and make sure they leave with lifelong skills.

Operations & Compliance

  • Manage deliveries, inventory, and invoices so the back end runs as smoothly as the front.
  • Champion safety and sanitation — even in the wild, clean and safe comes first.
  • Stay on top of local and state regulations — you’re the pro making sure we stay compliant.
  • Monitor responsible alcohol service — keep it fun, keep it safe.
  • Implement new policies and procedures to keep improving the guest and team experience.

What You Bring to the Table
? A passion for hospitality — you love making people’s days better.
? An eagle eye for detail — even in a packed house, nothing gets past you.
? Cool under pressure — you shine brightest when the rush is on.
? Strong leadership mojo — your team trusts you, respects you, and follows your lead.
? Quick thinker — you see a problem, you solve it, you keep moving.
? Excellent communication skills — clear, friendly, and professional.

The Must-Haves

  • Able to stand and move for up to 10 hours per shift.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Current TAPs and Food Handler/ServSafe Certification (or willing to obtain).
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus, but not required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume ($3-$5 million/year) restaurant preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred — but if you’ve got natural leadership skills, we’re interested!

What’s In It For You?
?? Competitive Pay – Salary based on experience
?? Employee Discounts — Pizzas, beers, and Denali views taste even better with a discount!
?? Free Housing Options — Live where you work, with some of the best views in the world.
?? Adventure at Your Doorstep — Explore Denali on your days off — hiking, wildlife spotting, and midnight sun vibes included.
?? Growth Opportunities — Northern Hospitality Group is growing, and we love promoting from within.
