Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Restaurant Maintenance Technician in Oklahoma City to keep restaurants running safely by diagnosing issues and repairing HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen systems and building components.

You will handle about 10 restaurants, 42 hours/week, travel locally and long distances, on-call rotation, and collaborate with leadership to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency. Whataburger offers competitive compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work full-time hours with on-call rotation monthly and travel locally and long distances.
• 1+ year HVAC and commercial refrigeration experience.
• 1+ year repair experience on commercial kitchen equipment or equivalent education.
• EPA or CFC certification.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment systems.
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repair skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet SLA timelines with clear communication.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet MVR standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen systems.
• Respond to service calls and on-site maintenance to restore operations.
• Complete repairs and document work orders per SLAs.
• Perform interior/exterior repairs including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Manage work orders, parts inventory, and documentation using company systems.
