Job Description

As the Lead Cook at The Plateau Club, under the supervision of the Chef, you will perform routine duties associated with all aspects of the kitchen. This includes, but is not limited to, daily opening and closing procedures, preparing food to order specifications, and following safety and sanitation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure recipes are followed consistently, providing our guests with a quality dining experience.
  • Act in the best interest of the guest experience at all times.
  • Lead culinary team members in establishing quality standards.
  • Monitor ingredients for quality daily.
  • Maintain the highest health and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
  • Communicate effectively and diplomatically with all team members, both FOH and BOH.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products to guests.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, complying with OSHA/WISHA standards.
  • Continuously seek improvements in processes, procedures, and cost reduction.
  • Assist in designing daily specials and conducting new menu R&D.
  • Interact with guests warmly, providing greetings, table touches, and assistance as needed.
  • Uphold a clean and orderly appearance, dressed in uniform at the start of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean environment by picking up trash and eliminating clutter.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of line experience as a kitchen lead in a multi-outlet facility.
  • Current Washington State Health Card.
  • Ability to multitask while focusing on key objectives.
  • Proficiency in all stations of line work and short order cooking.
  • Superior knife skills and ability to operate standard kitchen equipment.

  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

COMPENSATION

  • Pay range: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour.
  • Tips in addition to hourly wage.
  • Overtime eligibility.
