Qualifications

• No previous restaurant experience required.
• Stand for long periods (up to 5 hours).
• Clear and effective communication with guests.
• Exceptional grooming habits.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival warmly.
• Open front door for guests entering or leaving.
• Record guest names and party size when seating is limited.
• Call out name and party number when tables become available.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
• Accommodate special seating requests.
• Seat guests balancing guest flow at service stations.
• Help bus tables and keep floors clean.
• Keep hostess stand and closet clean and stocked.
• Clean foyer windows.
• Stock bathrooms and perform hourly checks.
• Present menus and inform guests of their server’s name.
• Relay messages to servers.
• Thank guests and invite them to return.
• Answer the phone with a smile and correct greeting.
