Job summary

Sun-Valley-Resort in Sun Valley, Idaho, seeks a Restaurant Host to warmly welcome guests, record reservations, and seat guests when tables are available.

You will maintain dining areas, assist staff, monitor wait times, present menus, and help with bussing and setup; weekend/holidays shifts may be required.

This role requires strong communication, physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 pounds occasionally, and adherence to sanitation procedures.

Description

A Restaurant Host welcomes guests in a warm and friendly manner, creating a positive and memorable experience. The Host is responsible for receiving and recording dining reservations on the telephone, and ensuring the proper setting up of dining and service areas. A Host also politely requests guests to wait in the waiting area if no table is available, monitoring the restaurant for open sections and tables, estimating wait times, and ensuring that the guests are comfortable while waiting for a table.
