Job summary

McCall’s Catering and Events in San Francisco seeks an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead an upscale casual dining opening and ongoing operations. You will oversee all aspects of the restaurant, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Role spans front- and back-of-house leadership, maintaining high standards in service, food quality, productivity, and profitability. Strong F&B knowledge and a proven track record in restaurant management are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations
• Experience across front- and back-of-house operations
• Event planning experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily front- and back-of-house operations alongside department heads
• Deliver high standards of food and beverage service and maximize customer satisfaction
• Respond quickly and professionally to customer concerns
• Organize and supervise shifts
• Review staff performance and provide regular feedback
• Support recruitment, training and development of new and existing employees
• Monitor product quality and work with vendors where required
• Manage operating costs and identify ways to reduce waste
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety and restaurant regulations
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annual revenue and expense reports
• Support the restaurant’s image within the local community
• Assist with restaurant events and local marketing activity
• Implement policies and procedures that support effective restaurant operations
