Job summary

IHOP is seeking a General Manager for our Austin, TX location. This full-time role focuses on leading daily restaurant operations, driving guest satisfaction, and achieving financial and marketing objectives.

A proactive leader will oversee recruitment, training, and payroll compliance, while ensuring SOP adherence and high-quality guest service. The position offers a competitive wage and benefits, including health insurance for full-time employees, and requires 2+ years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak and read English.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute annual financial objectives and local marketing plans.
• Manage restaurant floor operations and guest interactions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Recruit, train, and retain employees; provide ongoing coaching.
• Administer the hourly compensation plan and document performance issues.
• Ensure food meets SOP specifications, recipes, plating, and guest temperature targets.
• Manage supplies, inventory, and timely food orders to prevent stockouts.
• Oversee equipment condition, building safety, sanitation, and security; implement local promotions.
