Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with 2+ years GM experience in restaurant/retail with P&L responsibility.
• Must pass and maintain Food Safety Certification; in IL must obtain within 30 days.
• Strong customer-first mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to manage deadlines and labor goals.
• Able to stand/walk 8–9 hours and work 45+ hours per week; able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and develop shop team members to realize potential.
• Interview, select, and hire great people representing Potbelly values.
• Schedule staff and lead regular team meetings for alignment.
• Drive local shop marketing and promotions to maximize sales.
• Control costs, variances, and inventory; manage P&L items.
• Ensure health, safety, and food safety standards are followed.
