Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Restaurant General Manager to lead the operations and marketing of the quick service restaurant across our travel centers. The GM will oversee staffing, training, supervision, and drive profitability while ensuring guests receive fast, friendly service and quality food.

You will recruit, hire, train, and retain a high-quality team, manage payroll, inventory, and vendor relationships, and ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in fast-food industry preferred.
• Proficient planning and analytical skills (P&L, budgeting, expense reports).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant operations to meet performance standards and improve profitability.
• Coach and develop staff; performance manage per policy.
• Serve customers courteously and efficiently with a positive attitude.
• Provide great-tasting food and maintain a clean restaurant environment.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members; foster respectful culture.
• Achieve financial objectives through effective management of people, product, service and facilities.
• Oversee payroll, inventory and personnel documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Adhere to safety standards and company guidelines; manage vendor relationships.
• Stay aware of competitive practices and provide leadership insights.
• Assume duties of any hourly associate position as necessary.
