Job summary

Pancheros Mexican Grill in Iowa is seeking a General Manager to directly supervise restaurant operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, fast service, safe food handling, and compliance with company standards. You will hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff, manage scheduling, and oversee cash handling and reporting to maintain financial and service excellence.

You will lead a team of 3–10 per shift, monitor food quality and sanitation, and actively market the restaurant in the community.

Qualifications

• Hiring, training, supervising and evaluating restaurant personnel.
• Scheduling and monitoring attendance of staff.
• Enforcing policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
• Forecasting labor needs and scheduling to meet demand.
• Forecasting sales trends and ordering food & paper products.
• Monitoring expenditures and cash handling procedures.
• Reading and understanding English operating manuals and handbooks.

Responsibilities

• Achieves HR objectives by hiring, training, supervising and evaluating staff.
• Achieves operational objectives by implementing production standards and maintaining equipment.
• Achieves financial objectives by forecasting labor needs and managing cash handling policies.
• Handles customer complaints and resolves to the customer's satisfaction.
• Supervises a staff of 3 to 10 employees per shift, assigns tasks and monitors completion.
• Monitors quality of prep and menu items to ensure standards are met.
• Monitors safety and sanitation practices and ensures compliance with standards.
• Markets the restaurant within the neighborhood to increase brand awareness.
• Completes daily, weekly and monthly paperwork and reports as required by owner and franchisor.
• Maintains a clean and professional appearance at all times.
• Reads and speaks English fluently.
