Barcelona Wine Bar is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations in Nashville, lead staffing and development, manage inventory and costs, and ensure superior guest satisfaction. The GM will maintain standards, supervise scheduling, and drive growth with an entrepreneurial spirit, working closely with the Regional Director.

Responsibilities

• Commit to passionately, intensely, uncompromisingly humble hospitality and high-quality guest experience
• Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance to the guest experience
• Manage shifts including daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs
• Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts
• Able to handle the pressures of coordinating a wide range of activities and problems
• Adhere to standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs
• Maintain the restaurant image, including cleanliness and appearance
• Keep Regional Director informed and take corrective action as needed
• Ensure a safe working environment and reduce risk of injury
• Foster a cooperative working climate across employees
• Complete accident reports when needed
• Run high-volume stores
• Estimate food and beverage costs with corporate for provisioning and purchasing
• Create systems and tools to support growth
• Demonstrate leadership and coach a large team
• Interview hourly employees and manage hiring/termination
• Ensure positive guest service in all areas
• Respond to complaints to convert guests to return customers
• Share love of great food and drinks
