Job summary

IL Falo Wood Fire Kitchen, located inside the Westin Raleigh-Durham Airport, seeks an engaging Restaurant General Manager to lead both kitchen and front-of-house operations. You will set standards, manage budgets, coach staff, and ensure guest satisfaction through outstanding service.

Candidates should have at least an associate degree and 2+ years of GM experience in a restaurant, with OpenTable and Micros knowledge, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering results.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associates degree, plus 4 years work related experience
• Minimum 2 years Restaurant General Management experience
• Experience with Open Table and Micros a must
• Previous experience in a modern casual Italian restaurant a plus
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed
• Strong Leadership abilities and organizational skills
• Clean background check, and reliable transportation a must
• Must possess solid basic accounting and math skills, be comfortable with computers and have excellent customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Be a leader in all aspects – lead by example, by being proactive, by seizing all opportunities for growth both as leaders and departments
• Maintain satisfaction scores for Restaurant Experience
• Work closely with executive chef and leadership in creating and merchandising attractive menu designs
• Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs and monitor budget to ensure efficient operation
• Hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel team members
• Coordinate general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcohol
• Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire team members
• Plan and administer a training and development program within the department
