Job summary

Common Bond Cafe in Houston seeks a General Manager to lead the daily operations of the restaurant, overseeing kitchen and Front of House to ensure a positive guest experience. You will drive profitability, manage staffing and training, and ensure high standards of service in a fast-paced setting.

This exempt, full-time role reports to the Director of Operations, with responsibilities spanning scheduling, ordering, quality control, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Restaurant General Management experience in a high volume environment.
• Strong focus on exceptional customer service.
• Ability to train and coach others.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed financial and profitability goals.
• Adhere to standards to increase sales and minimize costs.
• Handle invoicing, reporting and payroll tasks accurately and on time.
• Manage the facility while upholding standards of excellence and hospitality.
• Establish and build community relations.
• Enforce sanitary practices and compliance with laws and policies.
• Ensure consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
• Schedule staffing and oversee provisioning to minimize waste.
• Must be ServSafe certified and uphold guidelines.
• Provide direction and training to employees; conduct reviews.
