Job summary

HeyHire is hiring a General Manager for a boutique hotel opening a new restaurant and cafe in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The GM will open the room, build the front-of-house team, own the P&L, and set service standards from day one.

The ideal candidate has current GM experience in high-volume, Michelin-level or acclaimed service environments, a track record of long tenure, and hands-on floor leadership. Opening experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Currently a General Manager with proven tenure.
• Experience running a substantial high-volume room; Michelin-level service preferred.
• Track record of long tenure with brands or venues.
• Openings experience is a plus; hands-on floor presence required.

Responsibilities

• Open the room and lead the front-of-house team from day one.
• Own the P&L, labor, COGS, scheduling and vendor relationships.
• Set service standards and ensure consistent guest experience.

We are hiring a General Manager on behalf of a boutique hotel opening a new restaurant and cafe in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.

The concept is chef-driven, with a menu rooted in Middle Eastern, Balkan, and North African cooking, serving hotel guests and the neighborhood across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The GM will run the full operation: opening the room, building the front-of-house team, owning the P&L, and setting the service standard from day one.

What we're looking for:

• Currently a General Manager (this is not a step-up role for an AGM)
• Experience running a substantial, high-volume room; Michelin-level or otherwise acclaimed service background strongly preferred
• A track record of long tenure - someone who has built something and stayed with it
• Full P&L ownership: labor, COGS, scheduling, vendor relationships
• Opening experience is a plus
• Hands-on floor presence; this is a working GM role, not an office job
• Compensation: $110,000-$140,000/year, based on experience.
