Job summary

S&F Investments is seeking a Restaurant Mechanical Equipment Technician to perform preventative and repair maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds across our restaurant network. You will handle HVAC, electrical and plumbing tasks, source parts, manage expenditure records, and support site projects while providing excellent customer service.

The role requires travel between restaurants daily, a valid driver's license, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2 years college preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience with HVAC systems, electrical systems, refrigeration repair, and cooking equipment platforms.
• Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license; travel between restaurants daily.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English policy and directions.

Responsibilities

• HVAC maintenance and repair; EPA certificate.
• Must be able to source parts.
• Must be able to track and submit expenditures electronically.
• Must be able to prioritize, plan and follow a daily repair route.
• Installation and final connections to utilities for foodservice equipment (gas, steam, plumbing, electrical).
• Organize work by studying manufacturer literature, diagrams, specifications, and gathering required materials.
• Test and repair foodservice equipment by operating the systems, identifying malfunctions, repairing or replacing parts.
• Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing regular preventive maintenance and service.
• Document actions by completing equipment records.
• Perform maintenance assessments.
• Respond to emergencies including nights and weekends to correct unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Miscellaneous plumbing, electrical, light equipment repair, and carpentry.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with safety and legal regulations.
• Partner with management team on various projects/tasks as needed.
• Support outside vendors when necessary
