Job summary

Hotel Lucine in Galveston, TX is seeking a reliable, team-minded dishwasher to support the kitchen during busy service periods. You will operate dishwashing machines, wash, sort and store dishes, and help keep the dish area orderly.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean floors, assisting in food prep as needed, sanitizing storage areas, reporting equipment issues, and helping with closing duties to ensure a spotless, safe kitchen for the next shift.

• Washes, sorts, and stores dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware.
• Maintains a clean kitchen and keeps dish area organized and free of clutter.
• Sets up dish stations, including dishwashing machines and sinks.
• Maintains clean, dry floors throughout the shift.
• Cleans and sanitizes storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators.
• Assists in storing food deliveries.
• Monitors trash cans throughout shift, removing full cans as needed and at the end of shift.
• Maintains the cleanliness of dry storage areas and storage shelves.
• Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth by the chef and managers as needed.
• Follows sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Ensures dishwashers are in working order and reports problems as they arise.
• Assists with closing, including sanitation of cooking and food prep stations.
