Job summary

GF Hotels & Resorts is seeking a bartender for a busy restaurant in Colorado Springs. You will take drink orders, prepare traditional and creative cocktails, and ensure the bar area is clean and sanitary at all times. A positive, customer-focused approach helps ensure guests have a great time at the bar.

You will handle inventory, process checks, and assist with opening/closing duties while providing excellent hospitality and service to patrons, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take drink orders and glasses; mix and deliver cocktails and beverages.
• Maintain bar inventory and restock supplies; track wine, liquor, and beer.
• Ensure tabs are paid and daily sales are recorded in POS.
• Perform opening/closing side work and keep the bar clean and sanitary.
• Identify customers' age with IDs and serve alcohol per laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
• Previous experience working in food service is preferred
• This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the patron first and providing exceptional customer service
• Outstanding time management and organizational skills
• Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED)

Responsibilities

• Order necessary bar supplies, stock and keep track of all wine, liquor, and beer inventories as well as maintain a full supply of glassware and notify management of any shortages
• Ensure that all customer checks and tabs are paid as well as record daily sales total and enter into point of sale system
• Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed
• Mix and deliver drinks to customers including alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties of wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks
• Properly identify customers' age through identification cards, and serve alcoholic beverages following all applicable federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations
