Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Morenci, Arizona, seeks a Mercantile Supervisor for the Restaurant and Bar to oversee daily operations, budgeting, and profitability in a busy on-site retail/food service setting.

You will lead staff, set schedules, train teams, handle customer relations, ensure quality and safety, and prepare end-of-day reports while implementing cost-saving measures; on-site housing allowance and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and three years of relevant experience; OR
• Bachelor’s degree and one year of supervisor or lead experience
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written English instructions
• Effective communication in English regarding procedures and safety standards
• Ability to work in a potentially stressful environment
• Availability for flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
• Ability to meet operating policies including cash handling and safety
• Strong customer engagement and communication skills
• Compliance with dress code standards
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks during each shift

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and profitability; set annual budgets and manage costs.
• Develop cost-saving strategies to increase profit and uphold quality standards.
• Recruit and hire staff; create schedules and track attendance.
• Investigate and resolve service complaints; enforce disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality control.
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports and perform other duties as required.
