Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Morenci, AZ, is seeking a Supervisor Mercantile for Library Support/Amenity Services.

You will oversee daily restaurant operations, forecast supply and demand, and coordinate activities to ensure efficiency and profitability. You’ll lead staff, recruit and schedule, manage budgets, and uphold health, safety and quality standards across on-site amenities, housing support, and services for employees.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of supervisor or lead experience
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written instructions in English
• Effective communication in English regarding job procedures and safety standards
• Ability to work in a potentially stressful environment
• Availability for flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
• Ability to meet operating policies and standards including cash handling and safety
• Strong customer engagement and communication skills
• Compliance with dress code standards
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks during each shift

Responsibilities

• Forecast supply and demand based on past performance and market conditions.
• Coordinate activities including management, customer relations, and marketing to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Set annual budgets and manage costs; develop cost-saving strategies to increase profit.
• Provide training and leadership to staff, including team building and performance management.
• Recruit and hire new staff, create schedules, and track attendance.
• Investigate and resolve service complaints and enforce disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality control.
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports and perform other duties as required.
