theWit Hotel in Chicago is seeking an Assistant Manager for State and Lake Chicago Tavern to oversee daily operations, guest services, and staff performance in a high-volume setting.

You will train, coach, schedule, assist with financials, organize private events, and collaborate with the GM to drive sales and cost control while maintaining top guest experiences. Experience with OpenTable, Micros, and Microsoft Office is valued.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage costs, schedules, and inventories.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and guest service quality.
• Train, coach, and discipline staff; manage scheduling and banking.
• Plan and execute private events and community activations.
• Assist GM with financials, cost control, and vendor relations.
• Supervise opening/closing procedures and write daily recap.
• Maintain health and safety standards and compliance.
