Job summary

J's Restaurant & Bar at Horseshoe Bay Resort in Texas seeks a results-driven Restaurant Manager to lead operations, guest service and staff development across the restaurant and lounge.

You will partner with the F&B director, plan short and long-term outlets strategy, manage budgeting and events, and ensure compliance with safety and training standards. Previous F&B supervision in a resort setting is required; TABC and Food Handler certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in the food and beverage industry and one year supervisory experience.
• Banquets and events planning and execution experience; resort experience preferred.
• Must be Food Handlers and TABC certified.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driver insurability requirements.
• Knowledge of different types of food and beverage production and wine/spirits service.
• Strong supervisory, leadership and coaching skills.
• Flexibility of schedule, creativity, social and interpersonal skills, decision making and sense of urgency.
• Knowledge of software programs; Agilysys POS system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports and manages the hotel outlets while working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and other hotel departments.
• Short and long term planning of all outlets, including the Restaurant and Lounge.
• Ensure effective hiring, training, development, promotion and continuous reinforcement.
• Lead and coach the team towards exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction.
• Develop and implement creative strategies for revenue enhancement and cost containment.
• Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives; manage within approved plans.
• Plan, coordinate and manage special events and holiday functions.
• Operate the outlets as a free standing entity when needed.
