Job summary

Taco Bell in Edison, New Jersey is seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager to support the Restaurant General Manager, oversee daily operations, ensure food quality, fast and friendly service, and uphold Taco Bell standards.

You will supervise crew and shift leads, manage scheduling, training and evaluations, maintain health and safety, and drive profitability through cost control while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in a restaurant.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the restaurant general manager in overseeing daily operations.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to food safety standards.
• Ensure efficient use of resources to maximize profitability and minimize waste.
• Supervise and train crew members and shift managers.
• Schedule shifts and manage staffing levels.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary actions as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve inquiries or complaints.
• Prepare and analyze sales, inventory, and labor cost reports.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of products.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
• Communicate operational updates and coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
