Job summary

Taco Bell's Union, New Jersey location is seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager to support the Restaurant General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality food and guest service, and driving profitability.

You will lead shifts, train team members, enforce safety standards, manage inventory and costs, and help schedule staff while maintaining brand standards and a positive, fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within the restaurant industry.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the restaurant general manager in overseeing daily operations, including opening/closing procedures and cash handling.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation standards, and adherence to food safety regulations.
• Lead scheduling and staffing to meet customer service and operational needs.
• Supervise and train crew members and shift managers, providing coaching and feedback.
• Address customer inquiries and maintain high standards of hospitality while managing costs.
