Job summary

Border Foods LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager in Walcott, IA, to oversee restaurant operations and build a high-performing team. You will drive fast, friendly service and ensure food quality aligns with our core values.

This role requires leadership in scheduling, training, and customer experience. Applicants should have at least 1 year in restaurant/retail, with a proven record in hiring, retention, and basic P&L understanding.

Qualifications

• One year of restaurant or retail experience minimum.
• Experience with sales building, P&L statements, recruiting and training.
• Proven track record of hiring and retaining staff.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Non-exempt management role; expected to work at least 50 hours per week.
• ServeSafe Certified.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the entire restaurant and lead a strong, capable team.
• Deliver great food and a friendly customer experience.

• Monitor labor, costs, and profitability; adjust as needed.
