Job summary

Border Foods LLC in Davenport, IA is hiring an Assistant Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, ensure great guest experiences, and build a team that reflects our Core Values.

You will manage scheduling, training, and safety, support sales growth, and drive friendly service. Minimum 1 year restaurant or retail experience, ServeSafe, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license preferred. This is a non-exempt full-time role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year's restaurant or retail experience (or combined experience and education).
• Experience with sales building, P&L statements, recruiting, and training.
• Proven track record of successful hiring and retention.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays; schedule demands may change.
• Non-exempt management position; 50 hours per week minimum.
• ServeSafe Certified.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the restaurant and build a strong team.
• Ensure consistent, high-quality food and friendly guest service.
• Lead staffing, training, and development of Team Members, including new hire orientation.
• Monitor labor, inventory, and safety compliance to drive profitability and guest satisfaction.
