Responsibilities

• Greets members and guests promptly with enthusiasm and a professional demeanor.
• Builds relationships by recognizing returning guests and learning preferences.
• Acts as an ambassador for the restaurant and Club to set the tone and atmosphere.
• Maintains awareness of dining room energy and ensures a welcoming, polished environment.
• Manages reservations, waitlists, seating assignments, and floor plans for efficiency.
• Escorts guests to tables, provides menus, and communicates server information for smooth service.
• Monitors guest needs and proactively assists during visits.
• Identifies opportunities to enhance the member experience (cleanliness, ambiance, etc.).
• Maintains clear communication between members, servers, staff, culinary team, and management.
• Anticipates service issues and communicates with the team to resolve them early.
• Responds to questions and requests with confidence and service-mindedness.
• Handles calls, inquiries, to-go orders, and information on reservations/hours/menus/events.

This role goes beyond traditional hosting. You’ll build relationships with members, anticipate their needs, help set the tone and atmosphere of the restaurant, and work alongside our service and culinary teams to create a seamless, personalized experience from arrival to departure. Essential Functions:

• Greets members and guests promptly with genuine enthusiasm, professionalism, and a positive attitude with both arrival and departure.


• Builds relationships with members by recognizing returning guests, learning preferences, and creating a sense of familiarity and belonging.


• Serves as an ambassador for the restaurant and Club, setting the tone and atmosphere for the guest experience.


• Maintains awareness of the overall energy and atmosphere of the dining room and takes initiative to ensure the environment remains welcoming, polished, and appropriate for the occasion.


• Manages reservations, waitlists, seating assignments, and floor plans to maximize both satisfaction and restaurant efficiency.


• Escorts members and guests to their tables, provides menus, and communicates the server’s name and any relevant information while ensuring a smooth transition to the service team.


• Maintains awareness of members needs throughout their visit and proactively assists when opportunities arise.


• Monitors the dining room and reception area to identify opportunities to enhance the member experience, including cleanliness, organization, lighting, music, table presentation, and overall ambiance.


• Acts as a liaison between members, guests, servers, support staff, culinary team, and management to ensure clear and timely communication.


• Anticipates potential service issues and communicates proactively with the appropriate team member or manager to help resolve concerns before they impact the member experience.


• Responds to member questions and requests with confidence, professionalism, and a service-oriented approach.


• Answers incoming calls, manages restaurant inquiries, takes to-go orders, and provides accurate information regarding reservations, hours, menus, events, and other guest needs.


• Assists the service team with appropriate support duties during periods of high volume.


• Participates in pre-shift meetings and contributes relevant information regarding reservations, member preferences, special occasions, events, and anticipated service needs.


• Performs other related duties as assigned.
