Job summary

Heritage Golf Group is seeking a friendly server dedicated to delivering exceptional food and beverage service in a private club setting in Birmingham, AL. This hourly role combines base pay with tips to achieve a competitive total hourly rate.

You will greet guests, present menus, take orders, and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate, timely service while maintaining club standards and a professional image.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deliver guest service in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Must be able to obtain any required alcohol service certifications as required by state or local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests promptly and professionally.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage recommendations.
• Accurately take and enter orders into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with club service standards.
• Monitor tables throughout service to anticipate and respond to member and guest needs.
• Ensure orders are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menu changes, and beverage offerings.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas before and after service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, service stations, and work areas.
• Process member charges and guest payments accurately.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service operations.
• Assist with banquet, club events, tournaments, and special functions as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
• Promote a positive and professional image of the club at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
