Job summary

Buona Restaurant and Buona Catering is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Flossmoor, IL to drive sales and profitability under the General Manager. You will lead a multi-member team, manage budgets, payroll, and forecasting, and implement robust training programs to ensure outstanding guest experiences.

Responsibilities include achieving targets, overseeing marketing plans, controlling expenses, and developing shift leaders while maintaining a strong family-culture and policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in an AGM role (QSR preferred).
• Drive-thru and catering experience preferred.
• Familiar with and comfortable leading 10+ team members per shift.
• Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant practices, concepts, and procedures.
• Strong administrative, multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritizing skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to lead 10+ team members per shift.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets
• Recognize all revenue areas & development strategies to impact sales
• Enforce and execute advertising and marketing plans, and HR and training materials
• Manage and control direct expenses
• Direct labor, food cost variances, repairs and maintenance, discounts, and other direct expenses
• Selection, retention, supervision, and training of all employees
• Conduct quarterly reviews
• Adhere to established training programs
