Job summary

Someburros is seeking a Restaurant Accountant to own AP processing, inventory support, and licenses across all restaurants. This role will handle day-to-day accounting for an assigned group of locations and collaborate with restaurant operators to ensure accurate financials.

The position supports growth in a family-owned, Arizona-based restaurant group known for its community focus and collaborative culture. In-office schedule is Mon-Fri with core hours 9am–3pm, and 40+ hours weekly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Multi-unit restaurant experience.
• Experience with Restaurant365 and Toast.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and lead weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires).
• Maintain vendor records, including onboarding and W-9 compliance.
• Monitor AP aging and vendor statement discrepancies to keep accounts current.
• Serve as the go-to contact for restaurants and vendors on invoice questions.
• Support annual 1099 filings and related vendor tax reporting compliance.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline AP processes.
• Support inventory accounting and resolve pricing exceptions.
• Track renewals for licenses and permits and keep records current.
• Complete daily, weekly, and period-end accounting checklists.
• Review Daily Sales Summary (DSS) and reconcile sales weekly.
• Oversee cash handling, deposits, and petty cash reconciliations.
• Record and reconcile bank activity and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Partner with managers to ensure accurate, timely in-store accounting.
• Support commissary accounting and special events workstreams.
• Assist audits with documentation and inquiries.
• Support special projects and new location onboarding.
