Job summary

Catholic Charities Eastern Washington in Spokane, WA is seeking a Respite Program team member for the House of Charity. You will assist clients in building independent living skills, coordinate intakes, maintain documentation, and collaborate with health and case management teams to support transitions to stable living situations.

The role emphasizes safeguarding PHI, HIPAA compliance, and providing compassionate, knowledgeable care in a respectful setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field with experience in direct client services.
• AA Degree with 3 years of relevant experience or 5 years direct client services experience.
• Successful candidates will demonstrate the minimum education/experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intakes with hospitals, clinics and providers and prepare beds for new Respite clients.
• Enter daily attendance and complete service notes in required databases.
• Complete intakes, enrollments, discharge plans, and exits per WAC and funder rules.
• Help connect clients to internal resources and maintain knowledge of community resources.
• Assist clients in independent living skill-building and life-skills coaching.
• Collaborate with Respite Peer Specialist to coordinate activities for community engagement.
• Maintain client files per funder requirements and HMIS data accuracy.
• Monitor and maintain a clean, safe environment and ensure Respite Rules are followed.
• Assist in transporting clients, reminding of appointments, and addressing safety concerns.
• Support staff in daily tasks and crisis response as needed.
