Job summary

Catholic Charities Eastern Washington in Spokane seeks a Temp Respite Assistant to help clients access services and resources. You will support independent living skill-building, coordinate with hospitals and community providers, and maintain accurate client records while ensuring a safe, caring environment.

The role requires flexibility for shifts and adherence to HIPAA and agency policies. Benefits are described in the posting, and the position is temporary for at least 3 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field with 1 year direct client services OR AA with 3 years OR 5 years direct client services

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intakes with hospitals, clinics and providers; prepare beds for incoming Respite clients.
• Enter daily attendance and complete service notes in required databases.
• Complete intakes, enrollments, discharge plans, exits per WAC, funder and internal requirements.
• Assist clients in independent living skill-building, including financial and life-skills coaching.
• Collaborate with Respite team to coordinate activities and community engagement.
• Maintain client files per funder requirements and HMIS data accuracy.
• Monitor and maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to Respite Rules.
• Document significant events in daily log and follow procedures.
