Job summary

Catholic Charities Eastern Washington is seeking a dedicated Operations role to assist with the management and operation of the House of Charity services in Spokane. The position emphasizes safety, resident relations, and coordination with case management to ensure high quality care.

Responsibilities include training staff, overseeing the Respite Program, managing front desk operations, and ensuring data accuracy for funders, while aligning with agency safety and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; leadership, management and administrative skills.
• Certificates/Licenses: valid Driver’s License; ability to drive for work; background check.
• Physical and safety: WA Industrial Safety & Act standards; respirator evaluation, fit testing and training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security in all areas; respond to resident complaints.
• Train new Operations Assistants for swing and overnight shifts.
• Oversee the Respite Program; arrange transportation and coordinate with outside agencies.
• Manage shift operations; supervise volunteers, front desk, mail, gear, donations, and phones.
• Review processes to improve quality of care for patrons.
• Coordinate with Security Team to maintain safety; track safety training.
• Refer clients to social services; assist case management in coordinating services.
• Maintain shelter data; prepare data verification for funders.
• Perform building operations duties during staff shortages; respond to crises.
• Participate in CQI team; document significant events in daily log.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Demonstrated leadership, management and administrative skills

Ability to compassionately interact with mentally ill, substance abusers and homeless individuals
