Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; ability to interact compassionately with people experiencing homelessness and mental health or substance use challenges.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive for work use; background check required.
• Ability to work night and weekend shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and security in all access areas.
• Oversee front desk tasks, mail, donations, and phone calls.
• Refer clients to social services and assist coordination of services.
• Respond to resident concerns and support crisis resolution.
• Maintain databases and complete intake forms for reports.
• Assist with shelter operations and housekeeping tasks.
• Ensure confidentiality and PHI protection under HIPAA; document events as required.
• Collaborate with supervisor and team to meet shelter productivity and safety goals.
