Qualificações

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC.
• Currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the applicable state.
• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy with a minimum of two years in a Respiratory Care Department OR an RRT with five years in a Respiratory Care Department.
• Working knowledge of all phases of Respiratory Care technology pertinent to this position.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association.
• Advanced certificates per facility policy.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates and supervises clinical activities of the cardiopulmonary staff.
• Assures the appropriate quality of care as designated by physician orders or protocol.
• Conducts orientation for new employees and coordinates continual education of staff.
• Maintains and evaluates supplies and equipment.
• Ensures that JCAHO standards and organization clinical policies are followed.
• Assists in the development and implementation of departmental goals.
• Provides direct patient care as needed.
